The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course is a beautiful country house hotel offering fantastic food, a championship golf course, world-class fishing and shooting and the warmest of Scottish welcomes. It is located 2 miles south of Kelso and 1 mile south of the Scottish Borders village of Heiton just off the A698.

Owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel nestles amongst well-tended woodlands on the banks of the delightful River Teviot. All of the 22 bedrooms have been individually designed, many by the Duchess of Roxburghe herself. Some have four-poster beds and log fires. All have a unique and charming character


The Main House of the hotel holds 16 rooms, including 3 easy access rooms on the ground floor. A further 6 rooms are located in our courtyard, which is less than 200 metres away from the main Hotel entrance. Our accommodation includes Classic, Deluxe, Feature Four Poster and 2 Suites. All rooms are en suite and some rooms have log fires. They are all furnished with care and elegance, fully equipped with flatscreen TV and satellite channels, ipod stations and wifi.

Kennels are available adjacent to the hotel for your four legged friends, or they are welcoming in the Courtyard rooms.

Duchess Suite

A luxurious and spacious suite overlooking the lawns of the hotel featuring an open log fire and many other original features in the bedroom and generous bathroom. The Duchess Suite was the original master bedroom of the house and includes the original wooden bench seat toilet that was restored when the suite was refurbished.

Woodside Suite

Designed on three levels, situated in the Courtyard's clock tower, this suite includes a sitting room with sofa bed on the ground floor and a staircase leading up to the four poster bedroom. This leads to a few steps taking you to a separate dressing room and bathroom.

Courtyard

Adjacent to the hotel and amongst our beautiful gardens you will find our contemporary styled, flexible Courtyard accommodation.

With direct access to the hotel courtyard and just a few steps away from the Golf Clubhouse, these rooms are very popular with sporting guests, golfers and families.

Weddings & Conference

The Hotel also can easily cover weddings and group conferences with facilities right through to luncheon and dinner parties up to groups of 64 persons
