| At Glasgow Airport nearly every Taxi driver has a nickname, 'Uncle Jack', 'Nitro' 'Barrhead Coo' etc... The problem is that if you do not know your nickname then it usually means it is quite bad. Anyway before my time, there was a Taxi driver who went by the name of 'Semi Conductor'. The reason I'm lead to believe is that he drove a big powerful Volvo which he always tested it to it's limit. Now this story goes that there was a criminal who was followed all over Europe by the police authorities of different countries through Amsterdam, then into Glasgow Airport, through the terminal and up to the Taxi rank. The unfortunate thing for us was that once the criminal go into Semi Conductors Taxi, he was never seen again as Semi speed off very fast that even the police could not keep up with him... |
