Oban with a population of over 8,000 is known at the 'Gateway to The Isles'.
The Picturesque Oban port has access to beautiful places and Towns in the West Coast of Scotland including the Isle of Mull, Coll, Tiree, Colonsay, Islay, Lismore, Kerrera, Barra and South Uist. Oban attractions include McCaigs Tower which was started in 1895 and stopped after Mr McCaigs death before being finished in 1902. We have Oban Distillery which can be found in the heart of the town also Pulpit Hill which gives you a fantastic view over the whole Oban Town and area..
Oban Tourist Information office lies overlooking the main roundabout in the heart of the Town center just behind the Oban Train & Ferry Harbour. The main routes out of Oban are the A814 which travels along the coast straight down, passing Isle of Seil, Craobh Haven Marina, Loch Melfort, Kilmelford and to Lochgilphead. The A85 Travels out to Dunbeg, Connel, Loch Etive, Bonawe, Loch Awe & Taynuilt.
